Glow Gold Ribbon Logo

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and Glow Gold September is an awareness campaign which asks public buildings and landmarks to light up gold during September. Anyone can join in, if you don't have gold lights, you can create a gold window display. #glowgold

Garden of Gold

Garden of Gold is a project which will run alongside Glow Gold in 2018.Public parks and gardens across the UK and beyond will be creating a garden space filled with yellow and gold flowers which will be in bloom during September. This is also something most people can participate in. All you need is a plant pot, a handful of soil and some seeds! #growgold

Brave The Shave

Brave The Shave is a volunteer-led campaign run by St. Baldrick's Foundation in the USA . Volunteers collect sponsors to raise money before having their flowing locks shaved off. In fact several of our grandparents have already done this! Are you brave enough?

Beads of Courage

The Beads of Courage Programme is a new concept being introduced in the UK which is designed to support children going through their treatment. It allows them to tell their story using colourful beads. The beads are used as meaningful symbols of courage that commemorate different milestones such as blood transfusions,  bone marrow transplants, hospital stays, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. Their beads build up over time into a unique record of what they have been through. Some days are really tough for these kids. However, the beads are used for encouragement and say to everyone “that was tough….but….I did it”
